Water Analysis

For correct sizing and application of water treatment/conditioning equipment, a water analysis is required. A basic water analysis includes tests for the following:

  • Hardness
  • Iron
  • Manganese
  • pH
  • TDS (Total Disolved Solids)

Water samples should be taken as close to the source as possible. Clean containers must be used.

  • Tannins
  • Hydrogen Sulphide
  • Chlorides
  • Sulphates
  • Alkalinity

If it is suspected that your potable water supply is contaminated a sample must be collected and submitted to a government approved lab to test for coliform bacteria and nitrates.
